At Grace Marietta, we are on a mission: transforming all things together for God’s glory and the good of all people. For us, this includes proclaiming kingdom justice on the earth and serving the most vulnerable and oppressed in our world. We live this out through global and local partnerships and outreach initiatives.
MISSIONS AND OUTREACH
-
The Local Outreach Ministry at Grace Marietta is a family on mission, providing refuge and relationship to our neighbors. It seeks to partner with God in empowering our community to bring transformation to broken places.
-
FAMILY PROMISE: Helping transform the lives of families experiencing homelessness
The Family Promise Program unites church congregations to assist unhoused families. Social service agencies assess the unhoused families and refer them to the program. Each church then provides accommodations and meals for 3-5 families for one week, 2-4 times per week, on a rotational schedule. Volunteers set up sleeping quarters, provide meals, host overnight, and offer our guest support and community.
TABLE ON DELK: Serving women and children on Delk Road and Franklin Gateway
The Table on Delk provides a safe community and meal for those who are currently, or at risk of, being sexually exploited. Now that the organization is at a new location, volunteers are needed most days of the week to prepare food, pray, worship, landscape, assist with bible studies and show guests the Father’s love. By showing them this love through genuine interactions and helping them recognize their dignity, some of those served will choose to take their own steps with Jesus toward healing and restoration.
SIMPLE NEEDS: Meeting the simple needs of those emerging from homelessness
While other agencies focus on the basic needs of food, clothing and shelter, Simple Needs seeks to “fill in the cracks” by meeting other unmet, but important, needs. It is in these simple acts—bringing a tent to a person living in the woods, providing birthday gifts to a homeless child, delivering furniture to someone transitioning out of being unhoused, that make people feel loved and seen. Also, receiving free household items and furniture provides the opportunity to get ahead financially. Volunteer opportunities include sorting donations and delivering furniture and household items on one Saturday per month.
GARMENTS OF GRACE: Providing kids’ clothing to families in Cobb County
Starting as a house church at Grace Marietta, Garments of Grace is a non-profit dedicated to providing kids’ clothing to families. They accept clean, gently used kids’ clothes of all sizes throughout the year at Grace Marietta and Dwell @ 750 Apartments. Large giveaway events are held in the spring and fall and provide an amazing opportunity to connect with and serve the local community. Volunteers are needed to help set up for the spring and fall events, to distribute clothing and Bibles and to engage with the largely Spanish-speaking community that attends.

The Global Outreach Ministry at Grace Marietta is an expression of God’s heart for all people and seeks to empower Jesus followers and movements across different ethnes. Through long-term partnership, we invest in disciples who follow Jesus in their own cultures and contexts, celebrating God’s diversity across the world and in our own local communities.
-
CROSS-CULTURAL MINISTRY
Loving the nations well begins in our own local community and is a reflection of how we treat others that look, act, think and believe differently than us. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for regular opportunities to engage with all members of Christ’s body, including serving our Muslim brothers and sisters, serving amongst a refugee population in Clarkston, GA and involvement with our local partners.
GLOBAL PARTNERS
The partners we support make their mission field their home, building community for years. They are encouraged and supported through prayer, words of encouragement, funds, raising awareness, and by receiving teams throughout the year that can assist with special projects and needs.
SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIPS
Throughout the year, opportunities arise to visit and partner with the work our global partners are doing in-country. These trips can incorporate different aspects of service, prayer and leadership training.

Local Partnerships
Grace Marietta partners with local schools—Wheeler High, East Cobb Middle, Sedalia Park, Brumby, East Valley, Powers Ferry, and Sope Creek Elementary—to bring hope, encouragement, and tangible support to students, families, and staff. From mentoring and youth programs to serving faculty and hosting student-led projects, we seek to equip young people to be agents of transformation in their own communities.
Next Generation Ministry at Grace
Get involved by serving with our Student Ministry through D-Groups (high school), LUG (middle school), or KidzLyfe (children’s ministry), and help empower the next generation to carry God’s mission forward.
School Support Drives
Each year, as we approach the winter season, Grace Marietta partners with our local schools to care for students and families in need. Through efforts like our annual coat drive, hygiene kits, and other essential items, we seek to meet practical needs and show the love of Christ in tangible ways. You can participate by donating items or funds, which can be given at Grace Marietta during our Midweek gatherings or Sunday services. Together, we can help our local schools feel supported and seen throughout the year.
