Grace Marietta Park Rules + Regulations
The Grace Marietta Campus is private property. We love being about to open our park to the Marietta community and are honored that you would choose this space to host your event. We want to continue providing a welcoming, safe, clean, and beautiful space to everyone. For that reason, we have a list of general rules we require all guests on our campus to follow. At the discretion of Grace Marietta staff and authorized volunteers, any guest may be asked to leave campus at any time if they are compromising our mission to provide a welcoming and safe environment to our community. These rules are guidelines and are not a comprehensive list of what may require us to ask you to leave and involve law enforcement if necessary.
WE ARE AN ALCOHOL AND DRUG FREE CAMPUS
No alcoholic beverages may be sold, possessed, or consumed anywhere on park property. The possession or use of illegal drugs is prohibited at all times.
WE PROHIBIT FIREARMS ON CAMPUS
Under Private Property Rights, Church properties are allowed by law to prohibit firearms even with a license to carry. Firearms are prohibited on our campus regardless of any license you may have. Firearms will not be allowed anywhere on the campus including the park, surrounding park grounds, and parking lot except by law enforcement personnel performing official duties. If anyone is on campus with a firearm, law enforcement will be called and you will be asked to leave.
WE ARE A WEAPON FREE CAMPUS
Weapons of any kind, including firearms, knives, explosives, or other dangerous objects, are prohibited on park property except for law enforcement personnel performing official duties.
WE ARE A RESPECTFUL ENVIRONMENT
Any person causing disturbances, interfering with others’ enjoyment of the park, or violating laws or ordinances may be asked to leave by Grace Marietta staff or authorized volunteers. Violent, abusive, lewd, vulgar, obscene, or disorderly behavior is prohibited and may result in removal from the park.
WE DO NOT ALLOW UNAUTHORIZED COMMERCIAL ACTIVITY
Selling goods, operating concessions, or conducting commercial activity is prohibited without prior approval from Grace Marietta.
WE HONOR RESERVATION TIMES
Pavilion rentals must remain within the approved rental timeframe listed in the booking app. If you are staying beyond the window of your reservation time, you may be asked to leave by Grace Marietta staff or authorized volunteers.
WE VALUE A CLEAN ENVIRONMENT
Renters are responsible for removing decorations, disposing of trash properly in the dumpster, and returning pavilion furniture to its original layout as indicated by the provided diagram. If you do not clean and reset the pavilion correctly, you will be asked to return to the sight and finish cleaning. Unwillingness to do this may result in you being unable to book the pavilion in the future.
RESERVATIONS ARE FOR PAVILION RENTAL ONLY
The park, playgrounds, pavilion, and basketball court are first come, first served—unless the pavilion has been reserved. Reservations do not include exclusive access to other park areas. Access to the building attached to the Pavilion is not included in the reservation. If we find that you are attempting to restrict areas of the park besides the pavilion for the use of other guests, you may be asked to leave by Grace Marietta staff or authorized volunteers.
WE RESPECT PARK PROPERTY
Damaging, vandalizing, or removing park property, landscaping, trees, or flowers is prohibited. If you or one of your guests is found to be damaging property in any way, you will be asked to leave.
NO CARS OR ELECTRIC TRANSPORTATION ARE ALLOWED OUTSIDE OF THE DESIGNATED PARKING AREAS
Motor vehicles and electric transportation devices, including cars, golf carts, motorcycles, mopeds, e-bikes, and similar devices, must remain in designated parking and driving areas at all times and are prohibited on sidewalks, walking path, green spaces, playgrounds, basketball courts, in the woods, and in all pedestrian areas.
WE DO NOT ALLOW FIREWORKS OR PYROTECHNICS
Firecrackers, fireworks, smoke bombs, rockets, and similar items are prohibited on park property.
WE ARE A SMOKE FREE CAMPUS
Smoking and vaping are prohibited anywhere within the park boundaries.
WE REQUIRE DOGS TO REMAIN LEASHED
All dogs must be kept on a leash while in the park. Doggy bags are located in a dispenser by the entrance to the park. Pet owners are required to clean up after their dog.
WE DO NOT ALLOW OVERNIGHT CAMPING
Camping overnight anywhere in the park is prohibited. If you are found camping in the park, you will be asked to leave by Grace Marietta staff or authorized volunteers.
