The Transformed Life: Found Over Fixed
Overview
John 11 shows us that a transformed life doesn’t come from avoiding pain or getting quick answers—it comes from walking with Jesus through real loss, tears, anger, honest questions, truth, waiting, prayer, and grace. This story invites us to belong to Jesus and to one another in our most vulnerable moments, bringing our grief, disappointment, despair and fear into His presence rather than carrying them alone.
In all of this, we see how transformation actually happens. Faith is reshaped. Hope is deepened. Love becomes more honest. And life emerges where death once seemed final. Jesus doesn’t just restore Lazarus—He transforms everyone around the tomb, forming a community that learns to trust Him, grieve with hope, and participate in freeing one another into new life.
Key Verse
“Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” John 11:25-26 ESV
