The Transformed Life: Lead Like Jesus

Overview

This Sunday, Caroline Schandel joined us from Grace Midtown, preaching out of John 13, where we see the servant leadership of Jesus.

Key Scripture

“Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.“- John 13:1

See It

(What is God saying?)

  1. What stands out about how far Jesus goes in washing the disciples’ feet, and why would this have felt shocking and even offensive in that culture?

  2. What do you notice about Jesus washing Judas’ feet and then handing him the bread—knowing full well what Judas is about to do?

  3. How does Jesus speak to Peter about his coming denial, and what does that reveal about Jesus’ commitment to Peter before Peter proves unfaithful?

Be It

(What is God calling you to do about it?)

  1. Where might Jesus be inviting you to take a lower posture—serving in a way that costs you status, comfort, or control?

  2. Is there someone in your life you are tempted to withdraw honor from? What would it look like to love and serve them instead?

  3. Where do you already sense potential failure, fear, or denial in your own life—and how might Jesus be calling you to rest in His faithfulness rather than in your own faithfulness?
