This week we heard from Bethany who preached from John 4:1-42, where Jesus travels to Samaria and through divine appointment meets a woman coming to draw water from a well. Here, he flips a conversation about the physical world into a conversation about spiritual things and reveals his true identity.

We notice that Jesus presents truth in order to bring transformation and restoration, not shame. (vs 16-26). What makes this interaction unusual?
What do the actions of Jesus tell us about his posture for humanity? (vs 7-15)
Jesus begins the conversation with what is visible to the eye and then speaks into the unseen spiritual truth of living water. (vs 7; 10-13) What is God revealing that you haven’t seen before through this story?
⸻BE IT (what is God calling us to do about it?)
The woman at the well had a powerful testimony. She was transformed from an outcast to an evangelist. (vs 28-30; 39-41) Who first shared the good news of Jesus with you? How was your life changed?
We all have a choice to lay down our lives daily for ongoing transformation. What is God asking you to surrender today?
No matter where we are in life, God desires to partner with us in his good work of transformation for the sake of the world. What is God revealing to you about your next step of obedience?
